Moscow enterprises annually increase the production of industrial equipment, meeting the market needs for high-quality and high-tech products. In particular, the production of conveyors, elevators, metalworking machines, robotic systems and refrigeration equipment is growing. This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

“Today, there are more than 260 factories in the capital’s machine-building complex, employing over 11.7 thousand specialists. Companies manufacture machine tools, industrial robots, technological equipment, household appliances and much more. With the support of the city, the industry is showing steady growth – by the end of 2023, the output of equipment and machinery increased by more than a quarter. In particular, the production of metalworking machines almost tripled, the production of conveyors doubled, and the production of elevators increased by 29.4 percent,” emphasized Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Thus, in 2023, a resident of the Strogino technology park manufactured industrial refrigeration equipment with a total refrigeration capacity of more than 3.5 thousand kilowatts. This is double the figures for 2022. The units were supplied to enterprises in various regions of Russia. The growth was also facilitated by the expansion of the product range – last year the company launched the development and production of three lines of equipment.

Another company in 2023 produced 320 industrial robotic systems – palletizers, welding complexes, manipulators and other devices. This is double the figures for 2022. In 2024, the company plans to release 550 devices, as well as expand the range with two new models.

“The devices released last year have already been implemented at more than 80 industrial enterprises in the country, where they reduce the number of routine operations, minimize the human factor, and increase the accuracy and speed of task completion. In addition to process automation, our machines are used in educational institutions of the capital for practical training of students, for example at the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman and the Moscow Instrument-Making College,” said the company’s general director Artem Lukin.

In addition, capital enterprises produce products to ensure high-quality operation of equipment and machines. For example, a lubricants company completed a test run of industrial engine oil at the end of 2023. The product has already been used in the engine of a gas piston power plant at an industrial enterprise near Moscow. The company launched the production of a foreign analogue of lubricants, doubling the efficiency factor.

Previously Sergei Sobyanin reportedthat the production of machinery and equipment in the capital has increased fivefold over the past five years.

Moscow is a city with developed production. There are more than 4.2 thousand industrial companies in the capital, employing 725 thousand people. Every year, 40–50 medium and large enterprises are opened, as well as about 100 small ones. They produce a variety of products and actively innovate.

On behalf of The Mayor of Moscow is implementing a set of measures in the city aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of the capital for domestic industrialists and developing production. The capital has created comfortable conditions for the development of small, medium and large enterprises. Moscow entrepreneurs can take advantage of more than 20 systemic city support measures, such as targeted loans and subsidies. A number of anti-crisis tools have also been developed.
