“Mom Entrepreneur” is a unique program of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development that helps women open and develop their own business. This year, the geography of the project will be expanded to 70 regions: events will take place in each federal district.

“In 2024, based on feedback from the participants, we decided to develop the program: we will expand its geography from 63 to 70 regions, we will implement a number of tracks “Mother in the Countryside”, “Mom in Tourism”, “Mother Exporter”. The partner pool is also expanding,” noted Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Tatyana Ilyushnikova.

The “Mother in the Village” track was held for the first time last year in the Krasnodar region. Its main goal is to promote the development of their own business and professional self-realization of women in the agricultural sector, and to attract investment in the economy of rural areas. This year it is planned to conduct this module in several regions. The track is being implemented with the support of the Women’s Movement of United Russia. The Deputy Minister also noted that the geography of the project will be expanded. If in 2023 the program was available to residents of 63 regions, then in 2024 women from all federal districts will be able to become participants: from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad.

A unique module “Mother-Children-Business” will be held for women from the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. It will allow women to undergo training, obtain the necessary knowledge and skills, as well as start-up capital: as in the “Mom Entrepreneur” program, the best projects will receive a grant of 100 thousand rubles and other support from partners.

“In total, more than six thousand preliminary applications have already been submitted for participation in the Mom Entrepreneur program,” explained Tatyana Ilyushnikova. This year the program will be implemented in Bryansk, Omsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Altai, Perm, Kamchatka territories, the Republics of Crimea, Tatarstan, Khakassia and other regions. “Expanding the geography and scope of the program also increases the socio-economic effects, so the Foundation has increased grant support, and our representatives will take an active part in educational modules and support of participants,” explained Natalia Zvereva, Director of the Our Future Foundation.

Some tracks will also be held at the regional level. The Tyumen region will become a pilot region for the implementation of the “Mom Entrepreneur” program track for mothers of many children. Mothers of minor children who are not engaged in entrepreneurial activity as of April 4 of this year, women with many children who have a hobby and desire to engage in entrepreneurial activity, and who are ready to register their business in the Tyumen region can take part in the educational program.

“The development of women’s entrepreneurship will mean the development of the social sphere, an increase in the share of small businesses in the structure of GDP and a decrease in the unemployment rate in Russia. 98% of women are positive about the prospect of starting their own business. This number is supplemented by those who, with the birth of their second and third child, have a desire not to return to work, but to open their own business. Today, more than 38 thousand large families live in the Tyumen region,” said Ilyana Bagisheva, head of the My Business Center of the Tyumen Region.

You can submit a preliminary application on the website momentrepreneur. RF. When the dates for the regional stage of the program are determined, all applicants will receive a notification by email. The program is being implemented within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation. The national project is supervised by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov.
