The delegation of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Transport of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University held an open day in Borovichi. The event was organized as part of cooperation with the Borovichi Refractories Plant.

Representatives of the university, among whom were the director of the Higher School of Transport Alexey Grachev, deputy. Director for educational activities Pavel Kovalev and Natalya Mokhova, responsible for preparing and conducting admission to the first year (bachelor’s and specialty), spoke to students of the road transport college, technical school of construction industry and economics, as well as high school students. Polytechnicians told the children about the opportunity to continue their studies at SPbPU both after school and after a secondary specialized educational institution, the rules for submitting documents for admission and entrance exams. The youth also learned about the areas of IMM&T training, including those that are especially in demand at the plant: “Metallurgy”, “Materials Science and Technology of Materials”, “Automation of Technological Processes and Production”, “Mechanical Engineering”, “Quality and Innovation”.

In turn, Larisa Larchenkova, deputy head of the personnel training department of BKO JSC, emphasized that you can study at the university by concluding an agreement with the plant, have privileges upon admission and receive a good scholarship.

Also, representatives of SPbPU discussed with the head of the mining production service of BKO JSC Oleg Bovduy the possibilities of training mining specialists at the university, and later, during communication with the management of the enterprise, they agreed to expand the road map, outlining new prospects for cooperation.
