Under the auspices of the World Raw Powerlifting Organization, a national strength sports championship was held in Novosibirsk. More than 700 athletes from 24 regions of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan competed in different age categories and disciplines: powerlifting, powerlifting, bench press and deadlift.

NSU students took part in this tournament and became the best in two types of the program.

Matvey Thomas (FIT) took first place among juniors in bench press with a result of 185 kg. took. Ivan Pushkin (FF) became the winner among juniors in the combined event, which includes bench press and deadlift. His bench press result is 180 kg and deadlift 275 kg. Last year, Ivan already took part in these competitions and took second place.
