On April 15, artists of the Vocal Studio “PolyVox”, accompanied by the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Symphony Orchestra, presented a program dedicated to the work of Anna German in the White Hall. The best songs of the performer, her main “calling cards” – “Echo of Love”, “When the Gardens Bloomed”, “Dancing Eurydice”, “I Love You”, as well as rare but incredibly beautiful songs, were interpreted by polytechnic artists.

In the lives of the participants of the PolyVox Vocal Studio, the work of Anna German occupies a special place: Vladislav Mikhailov and Ekaterina Lavrentieva in different years became laureates of the Anna German International Song Festival in Warsaw, the head of the group, Honored Artist of Russia Olga Kovaleva, worked on the jury.

We conceived this project, this concert after the victory of our students in the international Anna Herman song festival in Warsaw. They planned to gather festival winners from different countries who would sing accompanied by a large symphony orchestra. But such an event is now impossible. We managed only on our own – the members of the Vocal Studio “PolyVox” and the St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Variety and Symphony Orchestra, and we are very proud of this, – said Boris Kondin, head of the Directorate of Cultural Programs and Youth Creativity.

For the final concert in two parts, the musicians did a great job. Artistic director and conductor Dmitry Misyura made unique arrangements for the pop symphony orchestra, creating his own part for each instrument. It is this reading of Soviet-era music that cannot be heard anywhere else except at the Polytechnic!

A delightful concert for all ages. The older generation is always pleased to hear the recognizable songs of their favorite singer, and young people and children were glad to get acquainted with the work of Anna German in an unusual performance by talented musicians,” shared viewer Evgeny Antonov.

The audience sang along with the artists, because the work of Anna German is not only a support, but also an object of true love. The program ended with a general performance of the song “Hope” and prolonged applause for the talented students of the Polytechnic.
