From March 17 to April 17, two doctoral students from the Faculty of Economics of Karaganda University underwent a planned internship at the Institute of Industrial Management, Economics and Trade. Academician E. A. Buketov (KarU).

The topics of scientific research of doctoral student Barno Kulzhambekova (foreign scientific consultant: Professor of the Higher School of Engineering and Economics Alexander Babkin) and Askar Lermanuly Mukanova (foreign scientific consultant: Director of the Higher School of Industrial Management Olga Kalinina) are devoted to managing the digital transformation of industrial enterprises and ecosystems, which determined the choice of professors VIESH and GSPM as foreign consultants for the preparation of dissertations.

Colleagues from Karaganda got acquainted with the scientific and information base of the Polytechnic University and discussed the directions of their research with leading scientists who are on the dissertation councils of the Polytechnic in scientific specialties 5.2.3. “Regional and sectoral economics” and 5.2.6. “Management”.

Karaganda University named after. Academician E. A. Buketov became our traditional partner in implementing joint projects in the field of science and education. It is with this university that we have signed a network agreement on the implementation of a double degree program in the bachelor’s program “International Logistics” in the direction of preparation “Management”. I am confident that our further cooperation will contribute to the implementation of scientific initiatives and will increase the efficiency of training highly qualified personnel,” commented the director of IPMEiT Vladimir Shchepinin on the arrival of doctoral students.

Doctoral students held open classes for students and joint scientific and educational meetings with IPMEiT teachers.

We were able to discuss topical issues of managing organizations in the context of developing digital transformation. Askar Lermanuly, as a doctoral student and representative of the Kazakhstan manufacturing enterprise Boehmer Armature Kazakhstan LLP, has developed his own unique vision of the problems of this process and the possibilities of overcoming them. We are glad that, as part of his internship, he was able to communicate with our students and share his ideas with them,” said Askar Lermanuly’s foreign scientific consultant, GSPM Director Olga Kalinina.

The international office of IPMEiT, which provided organizational support for the visit, showed the guests the scientific and educational space of the institute on Novorossiyskaya, 50. Including, newly opened classrooms and laboratories, conducted a tour of the university campus, and also, with the support of the staff of the Polytechnic History Museum, introduced doctoral students from KarU to the rich history of the university.

We are systematically increasing joint research work with Karaganda University. The first significant success in this collaboration was the defense of Larisa Tashenova in the dissertation council of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University with my participation as the supervisor of the candidate’s dissertation. Today Larisa Vladimirovna is the director of the Institute for Digital Economy Research in Karaganda and continues to work with us both in grant and congress activities, and in training young scientists in economic sciences,” said foreign scientific consultant to Barno Kulzhambekova, professor at VIESH Alexander Babkin.

Throughout the internship, we received full support from the staff of IPMEiT and we take with us very pleasant memories of this educational institution and its teaching staff,” doctoral students Askar Mukanov and Barno Kulzhambekova shared their impressions of the internship.

IPMEiT does not stop there. In May of this year, the Higher School of Service and Trade is also expecting another doctoral student from KarU for a scientific internship.
