The All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Tashkent State Economic University signed a memorandum on institutional, academic and scientific cooperation. The document was signed by the acting rector of VAVT Vittoria Idrisova and the rector of TSUE Tulkin Teshabayev.

The memorandum provides for international academic mobility of students, teachers and experts of the two countries, in particular, mutual recognition of diplomas. It is planned to implement joint educational and scientific projects, as well as exchange experiences, practices and educational materials.

“The signing of the memorandum is an important step towards mutual cooperation between our universities,” noted Vittoria Idrisova. “We see great potential for joint educational and scientific projects and programs.”

The rector of Tashkent University, in turn, noted that interaction with Russian universities is an opportunity to develop various areas of the economy and deepen foreign trade relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.

“Today, the economies of our countries are closely connected with each other; together we are building a common transport infrastructure and strengthening technological cooperation. In this regard, expanding cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the field of education and science is of paramount importance, Tulkin Teshabayev emphasized. “The memorandum is an important document documenting our long-term friendship.”

The memorandum comes into force from the date of its signing and is valid for five years.
