Working meeting on the development of the transport complex of the Yaroslavl region chaired by Vitaly Savelyev

A working meeting on the development of the transport complex of the Yaroslavl region was held in Moscow, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev. At the event, the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Mikhail Evraev, presented the status of the implementation of current and future projects in the field of road infrastructure, land and air transport.

One of the priority tasks is the development of the public transport system of the Yaroslavl region. In 2023, under federal support measures, the supply of 39 vehicles was ensured through special treasury loans, and this year – already 86 vehicles. The region still has a need to update another 289 vehicles, and plans to continue participating in the project.

Currently, the government of the Yaroslavl region continues to work on a large-scale investment project for the development of Tunoshna airport. To implement the project, it is important to work out mechanisms for including measures for the technical equipment of the checkpoint at Tunoshna airport in the new federal project “Development of checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation” for 2025. The airport’s participation in the project “Development of the support network of airfields” and the allocation of federal funds on co-financing terms will allow the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of the runway of the Yaroslavl air harbor.

Vitaly Savelyev expressed support for the governor of the Yaroslavl region and noted the importance of further development of the region’s transport complex.

“The Yaroslavl region is a major transport hub of the European part of Russia; its transport system combines railway, road, air and water transport arteries. Considering the high tourism potential of the region and its importance in the country’s transport system, it requires close attention from the federal center. Within the framework of my powers, I would like to note the positive work of the transport complex of the Yaroslavl region and the pace of its development,” noted Vitaly Savelyev.
