Source: Novosibirsk State University – Novosibirsk State University – From February 27 to March 2, the largest Olympiad in economics beyond the Urals was held in Berdsk. This year, schoolchildren from Belarus and more than 30 regions of Russia came to the final stage of the festival, including from the Novosibirsk region, Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the Irkutsk region, the Republic of Sakha-Yakutia, the Republic of Karelia, the Vladimir , Kaliningrad, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Arkhangelsk, Omsk, Kemerovo, Tomsk regions, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Perm and Altai Territory.

I decided to participate because I am interested in economics and plan to connect my life with this science. In addition, this Olympiad provides benefits to the best universities in the country, which is good news. There are no final results yet, but I am quite high in the ranking: therefore, I can definitely expect a winner. I would like to note that these results were obtained through my hard work under the guidance of Anna Vladimirovna Getmanova, a teacher of economics at the Scientific Research Center of NSU. She is a professional in her field, and without her I would hardly have had such results,” said one of the participants, a student SUNC NSU Alexander Kosmynin.
On February 29, at the festival site, NSU presented its program: students Faculty of Economics Anastasia Karunina, Tatyana Zubareva, Tatyana Astashova, Elena Skripchenko, Alena Kozich spoke about the university, the Faculty of Economics and its student associations, and held a business game. And the student club “Maximin” charged the audience with videos.
At the closing of the festival on March 1, NSU Rector, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Mikhail Petrovich Fedoruk and President of the NSU Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor Gagik Mkrtichevich Mkrtchyan addressed the participants with congratulations and parting words.
— The Faculty of Economics of NSU has been consistently supporting and developing economic education at school for 30 years. At our university, we have formed a center of competence of the highest level in this area, one of the few in the country. Almost all this time we are co-organizers of the event. Our task within the framework of the festival is to ensure the conduct of the Olympiad, from the development of tasks to verification, display and determination of winners and runners-up. There are more and more of them every year, because the number of participants is growing, which is good news,” said the organizer of the Olympiad, Elena Limanova.
