The delegation of the State University of Management visited the Ministry of Finance of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), where they met with the Minister of Education and Science of the DPR Olga Koludarova, head of the Interregional Directorate of the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring (MRU Rosfinmonitoring) for the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) , Zaporozhye and Kherson regions by Ivan Anichkin.
Also present at the meeting were the rectors of Donetsk universities that take part in the Financial Security Olympiad, namely: the rector of the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Svetlana Drozhzhina, the rector of the Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Service Larisa Kostrovets, the first vice-rector of Donetsk State University Valentina Dubrovina and vice-rector for educational and scientific-methodological work of Donetsk State University Pavel Masharov.
The main topic of discussion was the Financial Security Olympiad, which is operated by the State University of Management, interaction between universities, including network programs, and attracting children from new regions to join the All-Russian Olympiad movement.
State University Rector Vladimir Stroev noted that last year there were a large number of participants in the Financial Olympiad, but the good thing about State University is that it has a campus where all locations are located on the same territory, which allows participants to study and live in one place. “We are faced with the task of reviving engineering and management education, our university has been doing this for a long time, all our efforts are aimed at achieving this goal,” summed up the rector.
According to Olga Koludarova, in Donetsk there is a center for working with gifted children – there are about 500 of them – and among them there are winners of All-Russian Olympiads. “As part of the Financial Security Olympiad, schoolchildren and students are active, they are interested in new forms and opportunities. Any motivational resource gives a push to participate, children are interested, so it is very important to give the children the opportunity to develop,” she said and asked to propose a pool of All-Russian Olympiads and competitions where students could take part, as well as to develop a methodology for training teachers of schools and universities who preparing future Olympiad athletes.
Ivan Anichkin, in turn, noted the great work of the State University of Management, which organized the training of teachers preparing participants in the financial Olympiad, and conducted a thematic lesson on financial security. “With the help of State University staff, a qualifying round was held among schoolchildren and students of new territories,” Anichkin recalled. “The winners of the qualifying round had the opportunity to undergo additional training in Moscow at the State University of Medicine and take part in the finals of the Olympics in Sochi.”
At the end of the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the MRU Rosfinmonitoring for the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and the State University of Management, as well as the presentation of thanks from the head of the MRU Rosfinmonitoring for the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions to the rector of the Donetsk Academy of Management and Public Service Larisa Kostrovets , Rector of the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mikhail Tugan-Baranovsky Svetlana Drozhzhina and the signing of a donation agreement on the transfer of educational literature to the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade.
